When I started this blog, I wanted to add above all the 5 video reviews published by The Cinema Snob on Youtube & so I did but few days later those videos & the account of The cinema Snob was suspended but luckily these wonderful video reveiews are again online in The cinema Snob website & I also have "repaired" the post dedicated to them.

And of course I highly recommend to visit The Cinema Snob website, not only because of the Pierre Kirby's week but because the contents & the way they are exposed & showed.

Oh, since this post is only to say that a previous post was broken ( but already repaired), I would like to add that I HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH IFD or FILMARK. I am not related to them nor proffesionally or personally. I am just a movie collector who has enjoyed these movies & I was tired of fake rumours & information about them. I thought it is a good idea to make clear some unsolved questions about the topic.
I live in the Philippines so I am quite closed to Hong Kong & I have been there many many times so I got the chance to meet some of the people who worked in these productions.
I add this disclaimer because I have got a bunch of emails from people who think I am related to IFD, or even someone has asked me if I am a Joseph Lai's family member and even more bizarre questions.
No, my friends, I am just a small potato who has left my origin country, Spain, because living in the Philippines is much cheaper & quieter. Don't let your imaginations fly like the ninjas on IFD productions.

I believe you are really Joseph Lai himself!!!
ResponderEliminarHaha.
On a more serious note; Yes, it would be very cool indeed if you could shed some light on all those Joseph Lai and Godfrey Ho films. Even the little'est details in regards to these forgotten films are so hard to come by.
hahahhahaha...don't give ideas Jack!...
ResponderEliminarshedding some light about these movies is the main purpose about the blog. Many people talk bad about these films when they olny have watched less than one. Well, even Joseph Lai is aware about his production values but if we look beyond of the final product quality we can find out a lot of rare & obscure movies from Asia. Now internet gives us a lot of chances to find & get the original sources used on IFD & Filmark production.
For example, I have found out the bizarre movies of Ray Malonzo throught IFD Ninja Squad & Filmark Ninja warriors from beyond. The best Elsa Yeung movies arrived to us in Spain throught IFD.
Lets watch the IFD topic on its full viewpoints not only the production values or just talk about them as trash cinema. There are a lot of hidden gems among them.
